Dinumera Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how information is handled in Dinumera (the “App”), a certification exam countdown app for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Summary: we do not independently collect personal information about you. Everything you register (certification name, exam date, icon, and background image) is stored on your device. If you use In-App Purchase (Pro features), the App sends minimal information to a server we operate to verify your purchase. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own iCloud account.

1. Operator

The App is developed and provided by Legiotech LLC (“we”).

Address: Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan

Representative: sumik

For inquiries, see the “Contact” section below.

2. Information We Collect

The information you register in the App (certification name, exam date, icon, and background image) is stored in an on-device SQLite database and the App Group container.

If you use In-App Purchase (Pro features), the App sends the following information to our receipt verification server (`receipt-verify.svc.legiotech.jp`, a general-purpose server we operate on Google Cloud Platform's Cloud Run and share across our apps) to verify your purchase: your Bundle ID, the purchase proof issued by Apple (an encrypted JWS receipt), and an anonymous purchase-related token generated on your device (this does not identify you personally, e.g. it is not your name or email address). Our server stores the verification result (your Pro feature entitlement status) in Firestore, a Google Cloud database. See “Network Communication” below for details.

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, the certification data and background images you register are stored in Apple's iCloud (your own private iCloud database) and synced to your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. This information is stored through Apple's service in your own account and is never sent to our servers. See “About iCloud Sync” below for details.

3. Purpose of Use

Data stored on your device is used only on the device, solely to provide the App's features such as displaying the countdown to your exam date.

The receipt verification information described above is used solely to determine your eligibility for In-App Purchase (Pro) features, and is never used for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

4. Network Communication

The App's core features (registering certifications, displaying countdowns, and widgets) require no external communication and no account registration. However, the App communicates with an external server only in the following cases:

5. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The App uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and includes no third-party SDKs.

6. Access to Photo Library and Files

The App accesses your photo library or files only when you choose a background image. The selected image is copied into the App's storage area on your device.

If iCloud sync is OFF, this image is never sent anywhere. If you turn iCloud sync ON, this image is transferred as a CKAsset to Apple's iCloud (your own private database) and synced to your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID (it is never sent to our servers).

7. Data Sharing with Widgets

Data sharing between the App and its widgets is completed entirely within the on-device App Group. No data ever leaves your device through this mechanism.

8. Provision to Third Parties

We do not provide information we hold (including the receipt verification and entitlement information described above) to third parties, except where required by law.

9. About iCloud Sync

The App lets you enable iCloud sync from a toggle in Settings (off by default).

When iCloud sync is ON, the certification data (certification name, exam date, and so on) and background images you register are stored in Apple's iCloud private database (your own iCloud account) and synced across your devices (iPhone / iPad / Mac) signed in with the same Apple ID.

This sync is performed through Apple's CloudKit feature and does not pass through our servers. We are unable to access this synced data.

You can turn iCloud sync off at any time from Settings. Once it is off, subsequent data is stored only on your device (removing data already stored in iCloud depends on your own iCloud account settings and actions).

10. Contact

For inquiries about this policy, please contact us at the email address below.

You can also reach us through our online contact form. The form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. The information you provide is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is sent to our configured delivery destination. If no destination is configured, it is temporarily recorded in server-side logs so our staff can review and respond (even in that case, the information is never used for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry).
